Getting Started with PGYDE
Welcome to PGYDE. PGYDE is your organized, step-by-step guide through the entire postgraduate application process. Create Your Account
Start by setting up your PGYDE account with your name, email, and password. You'll be prompted to select the type of program you are applying to.
This ensures that your dashboard loads the correct hubs and tasks for your specific application pathway.
Select Your Application Cycle
Choose the cycle year you are applying for.
Your timeline and recommended tasks will adjust automatically to match your selected cycle.
Explore Your Dashboard
Your dashboard is the home base for your entire application. From here, you'll see:
- Your progress circle — showing what percentage of all application tasks you've completed
- Your task list — organized into clear stages of the application cycle
- Your program-specific hubs — tailored areas for experiences, essays, requirements, and supplements
- Your letter of recommendation hub — with tracking tools and communication templates
- Your interview and decision trackers — for interviews, waitlists, acceptances, and more
Everything you need is centralized in one place.
Add Key Dates & Personal Information
Enter key dates such as when you plan to take exams, request letters, or submit materials.
PGYDE uses these dates to build a personalized, recommended timeline and help you stay on track.
Start Working Through Your Task List
Each task is designed to guide you through the application step-by-step.
As you complete tasks, simply mark them as Complete and your progress circle will update instantly.
Some tasks are editable, while official deadlines are locked to protect accuracy.
Use Program-Specific Hubs
These hubs are tailored to the unique requirements of your chosen program.
Inside, you'll find structured spaces to manage:
- Experience entries
- Essays or personal statements
- Supplemental questions
Track Letters of Recommendation
Use the Letters of Recommendation Hub to:
- Store evaluator information
- Track request dates and due dates
- Monitor submission progress
- Use built-in templates for requesting, reminding, and thanking your writers
