Getting Started

What is PGYDE?

PGYDE is a step-by-step guide that helps you organize, track, and navigate your post graduate application process. We break the cycle into small, manageable tasks so you always know exactly what to do next.

How to Use the Dashboard

Task List & Timeline

Your dashboard displays:

  • All major application steps
  • Recommended timelines
  • Official deadlines (fixed and not editable)
  • Color-coded progress indicators (red = overdue, yellow = due in 3 days or fewer, green = more than 4 days out)
  • Pop-ups with guidance or expected completion windows

Progress Circle

Your dashboard includes a progress circle that gives you a real-time overview of how far you've moved through the entire application cycle.

  • The circle displays the percentage of all tasks you've completed across every part of the application.
  • Each time you check off a task, the progress circle updates instantly to reflect your new completion percentage.
  • When you add new tasks throughout the cycle (such as secondary essays, interview steps, or school-specific requirements), the circle automatically recalculates based on the new total number of tasks.
  • A full circle (100%) means you've completed every task in your PGYDE timeline.

This single, dynamic progress circle helps you quickly understand where you stand at any moment and ensures you never lose track of what still needs to be done.

Fixed Deadlines

AMCAS, AACOMAS, and TMDSAS deadlines are pre-loaded and cannot be edited.

My Account

Inside your account settings, you can:

  • Update your name, email, and password
  • View or change your subscription status
  • View your subscription expiration

For full details, see the My Account page.

Letters of Recommendation Hub

The Letters of Recommendation Hub is your centralized workspace for organizing every part of the LOR process. This page allows you to:

  • Store and track evaluator information, including names and letter type.
  • Monitor due dates and keep a clear timeline of when each letter should be received.
  • Track the status of each letter to keep track of whether you haven't asked yet, have requested it, are awaiting submission, or have received confirmation of submission.

Email Templates

To make the communication process easier, the page also includes a full set of email templates you can personalize and send:

  • Initial request emails
  • Follow-up emails with key details the writer will need
  • Reminder emails
  • Thank-you emails once the letter is submitted

This hub keeps your entire LOR workflow organized, visible, and stress-free.

Program-Specific Hubs

Program-Specific Hubs are tailored spaces within PGYDE that adapt to the unique requirements of your chosen postgraduate program. Whether you're applying to medical school, PA school, dental school, law school, etc., these hubs are designed to streamline each program's specific components.

Within these hubs, you'll find structured areas to organize and track elements unique to your application, such as experience entries, essays, and supplemental questions. Each hub helps you:

  • Stay organized as new tasks or prompts appear
  • Track your progress on program-specific materials
  • Keep due dates and submission details in one place
  • Navigate each stage of the process with clarity

These hubs turn complex application requirements into a clear, manageable workflow, helping you stay on top of everything throughout your entire application cycle.

Common Troubleshooting

Why isn't my progress circle updating?

Make sure you have marked tasks as Complete. If the circle still doesn't change, refresh the page. If new tasks were added (such as program-specific requirements or new prompts), the percentage may shift automatically to reflect the updated total.

Why can't I edit certain deadlines?

Some deadlines, such as official program or centralized application deadlines, are locked to maintain accuracy. These dates are pulled from official guidelines and cannot be changed by users.

Why can't I upload documents directly to PGYDE?

At this time, you can save notes and track progress, but PGYDE does not store external documents (such as actual letters, personal statements, or transcripts).

Does PGYDE replace official application platforms?

No. PGYDE helps you stay organized but does not replace official services (AMCAS, AACOMAS, CASPA, OTCAS, etc.). You still submit your applications through those portals.

Will PGYDE give me feedback on my application?

PGYDE provides organization, reminders, and guidance, not official feedback or verification. Always double-check instructions with centralized services (AMCAS, AACOMAS, TMDSAS, CASPA, OTCAS, etc.) and individual programs.

Can I customize my task lists?

You can add your own tasks to most sections. Official deadlines or fixed items cannot be edited.

Important Disclaimer

PGYDE is a guide, not an official application authority.

While we provide timelines, reminders, and organizational tools, you are responsible for verifying all requirements, deadlines, and instructions directly with official centralized services (e.g. AMCAS, AACOMAS, TMDSAS, etc.) and individual programs.
